About Me
As a new homeowner, I was faced with the challenge of choosing the perfect carpeting for my 2-story house. It had to be durable enough to withstand the constant traffic of my three kids, two dogs and four cats. I've learned that highly dense carpet would remain more "plush" under constant use, so I looked for a high fiber count. Although I preferred the luxury of wool carpeting, the price wasn't in my budget. A more affordable option was polyester carpeting, which stands up well and is less expensive. For my finished basement, I chose looped Berber carpet. Basements are prone to dampness, and Berber hides water stains well. One final tip to share on my blog: If your furnishings are solid colored, opt for a patterned or textured carpet. Have fun furnishing your floors!
